About Us

Her, Here is a community for women* who have experienced any kind of sexual based violence.

You don't have to call yourself a survivor, and you don't have to talk about it when you're here.

Not a place where you’ll have to tell your story, just a community of women that get it.

A shared space open to everyone, where victims can meet a variety of different kinds of events.

  • Survivor only events simply about the shared space.

  • Community events with guided discussion framed around support and understanding.

  • Seating arrangements based on each member’s comfort level and willingness to participate, ensuring everyone can get what they need from each event.

Remove the everyday weight of filtering yourself around others who may not understand, and come join a group of women who want to work together to find joy and meaning in life beyond what happened.

Our community lead brings both personal understanding and informed awareness of the realities of sexual violence, and their ultimate goal is to create a supportive space for you.

This is a peer community, rather than a clinical support service or therapy, and shouldn’t be treated as such.

We are a community, not a crisis service. Please see the sign posting below if you need immediate access or specialist support to appropriate sexual violence and emergency services.

Rape Crisis England & Wales — specialist support for anyone affected by rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse. Their 24/7 support line is 0808 500 2222, and they also offer online chat and help finding local services.

Samaritans — for anyone struggling emotionally or feeling suicidal. They can be called free, 24/7, on 116 123.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.

We promise our members confidentiality. Event attendance will never be shared, nor will any of the data or information you share with us digitally or in person.

Events may be promoted using video and photography but our members should be assured they will always be kept anonymous.

Therefore, we ask for the same back. Our community guidelines are as follows:

  • Respect the confidentiality of the space, never post anything that could identify another member.

  • Respect others, their boundaries and their choices.

  • Inclusive, uplifting and supportive language must be used towards others at all times.

Please note, as community leaders we cannot guarantee complete confidentiality if we believe someone is at immediate risk to themselves.

Attendees and members can contact hello@herherecommunity.com if something or someone has made them uncomfortable or not been part of due process.

Inappropriate behaviour will lead to exclusion from events and the community.
